Carlos Tevez claimed that he wants to see players join Boca Juniors with the pride of wearing the famous jersey on the pitch.
The striker was questioned about his thoughts ahead of the new season, which will be preceded by the semifinals of the Copa Libertadores in a few weeks. Boca Juniors take on Independiente del Valle on July 7 and 14. After having done so well up until the semifinals stage of the competition, Boca Juniors will be very keen on performing well and are reaching the finals that they could face Atlético Nacional or São Paulo.
In the previous round, Boca Juniors had to face tough competition from Nacional and they managed to beat them on away goals after a 2-2 draw on aggregate.Independiente del Valle also come into this stage after having benefited from the away goals rule in the previous round. The better form of the opponents is likely to have a major say when it comes to the back-to-back games. Boca Juniors have not been in the best form of late. The team has managed no wins since May and they will be low on confidence. Further, they might also have one eye on the upcoming season but Tevez claimed that it would be disrespectful of the Copa Libertadores.Continue reading
Mexico have just announced the squad for the upcoming Copa America competition in the United States, but surprisingly does not include stars Giovanni dos Santos and Carlos Vela.
Mexico manager Juan Carlos Osorio has surprised many by not including these names for the tournament. The national team will have high hopes of doing well at the Copa America Centenario, which is a special edition tournament held to complete the 100 years of the competition. Osorio has revealed the different reasons behind omission of the two names. He explained that Dos Santos pulled himself out of the squad.
Meanwhile, Mexico had no other option but to omit Carlos Vela from selection due to poor form. The Real Sociedad striker has been in and out of the national team throughout his career and this decision will not come as a major surprise. Even when he has not featured regularly for the national team, Vela has been in good goalscoring form. However, even his place at Real Sociedad is under doubt after managing only six goals in 42 appearances across all competitions. Osorio has the right to think that the 27-year-old will not contribute much to the squad under such poor form. Since his debut for the national team in 2007, Vela has featured in less than 50 appearances.Continue reading

Some players are heart of their team, but end of the day, football is all about team play.
When it comes to Carlos Vela, his team depends on him to score well and to lead them. That he did as he netted a goal for his team in the last match. This was a goal that he fetched for his team after February. However, it could not help his team to recover.
The game was held at Anoeta on Thursday. Carlos scored for Real Sociedad when the team played against Getafe. The club was playing in its home ground, but that did not stop it from suffering a defeat at the hands of the opponent team. They scored a goal of 2-1. The players remain fully behind manager Ronny Deila according to winger Gary Mackay-Steven.
The manager has come under fire in recent months due to poor and inconsistent results in the league and cup competitions. Failure to do well in Europe has been a consistent theme under the Norwegian manager. This was not the case under former boss Neil Lennon, who chose to try his luck in English football by joining Championship outfit Bolton. In a surprising turn around, Lennon recently parted company with Bolton and has been linked with a return to Parkhead.
As the speculation mounts on Deila’s future at the club,Mackay-Steven has backed the young Norwegian to deliver the league title once again. Celtic are also in the Scottish cup semi-final going head-to-head against their old rivals Rangers. If Lennon does come to Celtic in the summer, it would see him taking on Rangers once again as they are strong favourites to get promoted from the Championship. Others candidates likely to show interest in the job include former Everton boss David Moyes, who is out of work after having left Real Sociedad months ago. Moyes recently revealed that taking over at Celtic would be a dream come true.Continue reading
Despite all of the cash offers, lucrative deals and rumors that have been emerging that have linked Carlos Tevez with a move away from Boca Juniors, the veteran player himself has confirmed that he does not have any intentions of leaving his current club in the near future as he wants to help out Boca Juniors as much as he can and one of the ways that he is planning to do this is by lifting titles with the Argentine club.
‘’There is no chance for me to leave Boca in June. I came to stay and become a champion with Boca in all of the competitions that we are competing in. We are all at a low level, it is a mental issue, but you have to change the chip and get well physically and mentally because we know that a team can play bad two or three players, but not all.’’ Carlos Tevez said during a recent interview as he talked about the current situation that his team is going through and shut down claims of him leaving Boca Juniors as that is not on his plans.
All what Carlos Tevez is focusing on is in lifting all the trophies that he can with Boca Juniors and forget about everything else. This is why he shut down all the rumors of him departing Boca Juniors which isn’t in his plans.Continue reading
West Ham appeared to be in the race for a top four only a few weeks ago, but they have now failed to win in the last four matches.
A long list of injuries coupled with poor form to some of the top players means that West Ham manager is unsure of the next three points for his team. A daunting trip to face Manchester United at Old Trafford awaits the team. West Ham boss Slaven Bilic has been able to transform the fortunes of the team especially against the big four. Victories over the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea, and Manchester City were not surprising given their performance in these games.
Given their recent form, however, it will be difficult to expect a victory at Old Trafford. United are traditionally strong at their home and van Gaal has made it a priority to make Old Trafford as a fortress. Bilic is aware that getting anything from this weekend’s game will be difficult and it will only add to the winless run that his team has been experiencing. However, he wants to use the inspiration of Carlos Tevez in order to get a result. Tevez spent only a short period with West Ham, but he helped them avoid relegation and inspired them to bigger things.Continue reading
Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville claims that West Ham’s Dimitri Payet reminds him of a certain Carlos Tevez, who occupies a significant part in West Ham’s history. The striker may have played for a very short period of time at Upton Park. However, he helped them remain in the Premier League. The club received a lot of benefits as a result of it. Tevez went on to play for Manchester United and City in the English league before moving to Juventus. He has now returned to his home country where he is playing with Boca Juniors.
However, the English league and its fans have not forgotten the impact may be Tevez at West Ham. Gary Neville, particularly, says that he is reminded of the Argentine when he seesPayet on the pitch. The French international has been a major signing for the club. He has contributed immensely in the three major away victories against Arsenal, Liverpool, and City. Even though this good form has not seen him recalled to the French national team, the 28-year-old is definitely on his way to making any impact in the league.Payet’s recent excellent performance came in the game against Newcastle United when he managed to score a brace.Continue reading
Former Germany international LotharMatthaus has come out with a stunning verdict that he does not think that Bayern Munich star Mario Gotze and Schalke prospect Julian Draxler are not winners in the same league as that of Andrea Pirlo or Carlos Tevez.
Both players were a huge factor in Juventus returning to the top of the pile after several years of struggle. Tevez recently returned to his home country with Boca Juniors whereas Pirlo joined the MLS for a fitting sendoff into the twilight. They have left only after helping Juventus reach the Champions League final.
Equally talented players like Gotze andDraxler are seen as some of the alternatives for Juventus to sign in the summer transfer window. Both players have incredible talent and potential to become the world’s best, but they have not been able to show off their talents fully in the last few years. Gotze is believed to be extremely frustrated with life at Bayern Munich since he is often on the sidelines while a big-money move is yet to materialise forDraxler. Both players are believed to be on the shopping list of Juventus, butMatthaus has come out with a warning for the Italian outfit.Continue reading
