The 29 years old forward and one of the latest additions of Juventus Carlos Tevez stated that even though he is quickly becoming one of the main goal-scoring outlets of the Italian side, they are not dependent on him and he does not take full responsibility of Juventus having a successful season.
“I’m not the leader, they are all leaders here at Juventus,” I want to help this team in any way, thus they can form a collective and grow’’.
“If Juventus do not win, it is said we are in a crisis. This time we put in the right intensity, and when we play like that we can cause problems to anyone.’’
“After the game against Fiorentina we have given the right responses especially in the first half. We played as Conte always asks us to do’’. The 29-year-old told Corriere dello Sport.
Juventus is struggling on claiming points in the Champions’ League group stages as they are in the last spot of Group B with only 3 points secured out of the 4 matches played which means that victories will be needed in order for the Italian team to find a spot in the next rounds of the European tournament.
They are scheduled to play against Copenhagen and Galatasaray as the last 2 matches of the group matches and it will be nothing more than a disappointment if they fail to qualify any further.
Fernando Llorente is positive that the partnership between him and Tevez can make them accomplish great things together.
He told AS: “We have played a few matches together. He is a great player and I think that we can improve in playing together. I am comfortable featuring alongside Tevez. I feel better now. But my best is still to come. I still need to reach the top.”
Tevez and Llorente will have to be at their best if they want to propel Juventus to European glory.
