TEVEZ CONGRATULATES MAN CITY ON TITLE TRIUMPH

Congratulations have continued to pour in for English Premier League club and newly-crowned League champions Manchester City. The Etihad club were confirmed as champions after their bitter rivals Manchester United failed to win their game against Leicester City at Old Trafford this week. The 2-1 loss to Leicester made it official that Manchester City have displaced Liverpool as the Champions of England.

Upon winning the league title, the Cityzens have been receiving congratulatory messages from pundits, their fellow Premier League clubs, and some former players. The Manchester-based club took to their social media pages to celebrate their title victory and they still had a lot of comments pouring in under the post, including some comments from their past stars.

Their former striker, Carlos Tevez liked the club’s post on Twitter and went further to drop a comment where he congratulated them and their players as well. Tevez’s heartfelt congratulatory message is coming after his former teammate Yaya Toure did the same thing earlier in the week. Toure also sent his congratulations to the Manchester club on Twitter after tweeting a comment under their post saying that all of the players deserved to win the title after the brilliant campaign they have had this season.

It was the second title City would be winning this season following their League Cup victory earlier in the campaign. They were denied the chance to win a quadruple of titles this season after getting knocked out of the FA Cup by Chelsea, the club they will now have to face in the final of the UEFA Champions League on the 29th of May and they’ll be looking to complete a treble this season ahead of the final later this month.

The final will be played in Porto and while Guardiola is preparing to win his third title this season, Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is looking to win his first.
