Carlos Tevez wants to see players join Boca Juniors

Carlos Tevez claimed that he wants to see players join Boca Juniors with the pride of wearing the famous jersey on the pitch.

The striker was questioned about his thoughts ahead of the new season, which will be preceded by the semifinals of the Copa Libertadores in a few weeks. Boca Juniors take on Independiente del Valle on July 7 and 14. After having done so well up until the semifinals stage of the competition, Boca Juniors will be very keen on performing well and are reaching the finals that they could face Atlético Nacional or São Paulo.

In the previous round, Boca Juniors had to face tough competition from Nacional and they managed to beat them on away goals after a 2-2 draw on aggregate.Independiente del Valle also come into this stage after having benefited from the away goals rule in the previous round. The better form of the opponents is likely to have a major say when it comes to the back-to-back games. Boca Juniors have not been in the best form of late. The team has managed no wins since May and they will be low on confidence. Further, they might also have one eye on the upcoming season but Tevez claimed that it would be disrespectful of the Copa Libertadores.

“If anyone wants to come by the shirt, the club and its history, but if a player speaks and says he is definitely not like. I would like the player who is predisposed to come to Boca come, but they always talk about if you are in doubt or not. It would be good to hire players who feel the shirt and who want to come on that it is definitely not directly you like. We are thinking about the Copa Argentina and then when it comes would be disrespectful to think of the Libertadores rather than Argentina Copa our opponent,” said Tevez.
